The Love of God is…..
Dear Foothills Family and Friends,
We’re beginning a new series this Sabbath entitled: “The Love of God is…” I hope you are able to join us for this life-giving series of Biblical messages!
Here’s how the teaching series is structured:
The Love of God is Different (1 John 5:1-5) taught by Duff Gorle.
The Love of God is Empowering (Matthew 22:36-40; John 4:1-32) taught by Caryn Shoemaker.
The Love of God is Creative (Psalm 8; 1 Cor. 2:6-12) taught by Duff Gorle.
The Love of God is Contagious (Mark 7:31-36; 2 Cor. 5:16-20) taught by Don Bishop.
We take a pause in the series to celebrate with a Thanksgiving Message by Duff Gorle
The Love of God is Giving (Mark 12:38-44) taught by Tom McSherry.
The focus is on God’s love—what it is, how we receive it and are transformed by it, and how we share it with others.
Through Christ we have come to know the deepest sense of God’s love for us—unselfish, uncompromising, sacrificial love for us! There is nothing we do to earn it. Nothing we can do will cause God to love us or to stop loving us. God’s AGAPE love is unique in this world—different from any other love out there…. because it is from GOD.
During this series, we will be encouraged to receive and experience; to allow God to open our hearts and fill us with the love of God given to us in Christ.
I pray that we will all receive, to full capacity, the free gift of God’s saving, healing, empowering, creative, generous and contagious LOVE!
