ADVENT & CHRISTMAS

Dear Foothills Family and Friends,

Joy to the World! Peace on Earth! Hark the Herald Angels Sing! At this time of the year the world sings out with messages of hope, love, joy, and peace. As we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, let us take time to share His love with those around us—let us reflect the greatest gift, when Love came down.

Christmas is the time when friends and family gather to celebrate the season together. This coming Sabbath our Foothills family will celebrate with a family-style worship that includes songs, readings, a homily, and lots of love.

What a perfect time to call and invite someone to come and experience your loving church family! The special vibe and the events of the Christmas Season provide a perfect opportunity for the church to share the love of Christ with others. I'd like to encourage each one of us to find someone to invite!

Last week, we enjoyed celebrating the birth of Jesus with songs, a poem presented by our super-cute children, the Advent Candle message powerfully presented, the Christmas Choir's Cantata, and much beauty, grace, joy, and love in God's House! One of our members invited a couple to attend. After our worship service the gentleman thanked me saying: "I enjoyed today's worship service more than I've enjoyed anything at church in the last 50 years!" Our church is special, because Jesus is in the midst of who we are and what we do. People experience the beauty of God when we come together as His family.

Would you prayerfully think of a family member or a friend who may not be a member of the church? This is a great opportunity to reach out to others and start to build relationships with them to win them to Christ!
