RESILIENT: One of the reasons God's love is contagious is that it is resilient. It has the ability to be flexible, to bend, and to withstand whatever is thrown against it. It withstands the strain without breaking or being permanently damaged or weakened.

COMMUNICABLE: God's love is contagious because it is communicable. The Good News of God's Love is so easy to spread! It's not our message which can become boring, trite, egotistical and self-centered. When we talk about ourselves, we often run into resistance because the other person wants to talk about themselves.

Good News is easy to share and talk about! It's like giving someone a really cool present.

INFECTIOUS: God's love is contagious because the Good News is infectious. Saint Francis of Assis said it well: "Let us leave sadness to the devil. As for us Christians, what can we be but rejoicing and glad." God's love and the good news about God's love is infectious. It's infectious because it's kind and compassionate just like its author.

Ours is an infectious faith filled with joy and happiness! The Good News is that the Love of God IS contagious and infectious! Receiving through faith and then sharing generously the Love of God is the job description of every Christian. Because we're experiencing the love of God, we're called to be lovers of others.
